I have the honour to request you to be so

good as to move His Excellency the Officer Administering the

Government to recommend me to the Secretary of State for the post

of Colonial Treasurer in case of a vacancy."

My services in the Colony are detailed in

the Colonial Office List, and I may add that Sir A. Robinson on

his departure was good enough to state in a letter to myself that

he considered me emineatly qualified for the post.
